-I had this in another thread, but I thought I would start its own thread:
Happy Monday all! I know a great many of you use the animated lighting products out there for your displays. In addition to any animation you might be doing we are selling two new replacement lights this year that color change on their own. The first color changes through all of the colors slowly, the 2nd changes through all of them quickly and then flashes and repeats. The great thing about this as they are all replacement bulbs once you leave them on long enough they eventually are all changing through different colors and not on the same color change pattern.
As these are new I would be willing to send (1) to those who are interested a free sample (I have more C9 than C7). PM me if you would like a free sample!
I got my sample today and love the fast changing, like the slow changing too but man that fast changing one is totally awesome. I can see so many uses for these.
Thanks Travis for sending me the sample

You can put your order in on http://www.ledholidaylighting.com, but nothing is charged until they ship. You would get them in September sometime as that is when he is expecting my next order from China. C7 color changing are $45 for 50. He also has the C9 color changing bulbs.

These are a ton of fun. I have one person out west changing out their arcade into these lights. Most people that I have talked with who have a solid color in a tree and/or bush are putting one of these lights in every 5th or 6th light to give it some extra flare to their design. Fun stuff
I tested my free samples tonight. I also think the faster changing one is better.
Travis, on a string of these bulbs, do they all start out with the same color (red, I think), and sync at the beginning and drift off to totally random colors over time? Or do they remain semi-synced?
I think a mixture of slow changing and fast changing bulbs on a string would be cool.
Thanks for the samples Travis. I'm thinking I could use some of these bulbs, for a mega-tree star topper.
It is interesting when you plug them in because you can see the current go down the wire, they are the same for about 2 seconds, after a few minutes they are all different (not in synch)

I received the free samples today. Fantastic. After my wife and I studied the fast and the slow, we decided we liked the fast changing the best. I have 120 candle lights that I bought last year with the regular white bulbs which I think I will replace with these. Do we have to order in lots of 50 or can I just preorder the 120 (+ a couple spares)?
I think anyone who wants something really different should seriously consider these bulbs.
Edit: Just went to the website to do my preorder and see that they are multiples of 50; guess I should have checked before I asked. But then, you really complicate it with faceted, lotus, etc. Such decisions!

Travis,
I just noticed the package on the front porch. Thank you for the 2nd set of samples.
I really like the randomness of the fast changing lights. The slow changing bulbs, although not color synced, seem to change colors at about the same time frequency. Would this be true of a string of 25 or so? Or the two bulbs I got are just very similar in timing?
BTW, not soliciting 25 more free samples!!! (although I wouldn't refuse them!)
Thanks,
Michael

Michael,
After 2 or 3 minutes the lights will be different on a full strand.
I'm planning on making some North Pole lights, and got an 8" translucent plastic globe. I put one of the color-changing c9 inside, and they look really cool with the room lights off. The c9 faceting gives the globe a cloudy, fortune telling look. Unfortunately I have a street light right in front of the house, and I don't think the c9's will be bright enough. Will have to test this later.
Thanks for the samples. I like to slow because the fast start flashing
after the fast fading then go back to fading. Is that right?
I might have to order a bunch.

You are correct, the fast quickly go through all the colors and then blink all the colors and then start over again. Whereas the slow just slowly change through all the colors and never stops. Glad you liked them, a lot of people are using them in a lot of different ways this year!
I couldn't find them on your site. I would like to order some.
Thanks!

I was trying to order some lights, but your website checkout seems to be Visa only, and I have MasterCard. I'm not crazy about Paypal (bad experience).
On the bottom of your website it has the MasterCard logo. Do you take MasterCard, or can handle this transaction via check?
Also, would it be fair to say the C7 is about 3/5 the brightness of the C9, based on led count? I'm kinda on the fence on whether to get C7 or C9's. The C7's might scale better overall with my display. I do like the C9 samples though.
