Its been awhile since i've been to Target so i don't know if the stores in my area
have xmas stuff out yet... so does anyone know if they have the Philips LEDs
again this year? are they $12 like previous years?
...the reason i ask is i was at the thrift store today & noticed they had multiple
boxes of those lights (appeared to be new just damaged box) for $6 each (seemed
a little high considering the store i was in) i didn't buy any tho.

Also a unrelated/off topic question: anyone know what the relation is between
Target & Goodwill? (do they own it?) I always see target stuff there...

I wouldn't buy Philips lights if they were giving them away for free.

I've had nothing but the worst luck with their incandescents. I still have bulbs in this house that were here when I bought it over 10 years ago but I've replaced the Philips bulbs I've bought since then many times over.

I know other people who have had similar results.

I'm not going to gamble that their LEDs are any better.

(This is just my opinion. Perhaps their LEDs are made by someone that knows how to make lights.)

Edit: And someone correct me if I'm wrong but didn't HD used to sell mostly/only Philips but no longer? Didn't they swtich to GE or Sylvania or something?

I've had fairly good luck with Philips Flourescents...some even lasted close to 9 years
(can't say for their incandescents tho since haven't used em)
I have a few sets of their LEDs & have never had a problem...but it's only been
2 seasons (at most) for those...not nearly long enough to rate them as good or junk

Note: 'Philips' LEDs are not really made by Philips - they are made by 'Seasonal
 Specialties
' (same place that makes the Target lights...don't recall myself having
any problems with their mini lights)
