1. What type of LED lights do you use to outline the roof or eve's of the house? I have all C-6 LED from Paul's sale last year and am trying to put another order together this year. Does anyone use C-6 with the mini base for this or is there another way?
2. How do you "black out" the lights on a LED string? Do you use black electrical tape or is there a better way.
I used C6 LEDs on the sides and front of my roof last year and was happy with them. The only downside was putting them up with all those shingle clips; the spacing is four inches compared to the 12 inches for C9. As for blacking out, I just use black electrical tape. It does the job and didn't come off in the rain.
Has anyone used Paul's C-9 stringers that are on the spreadsheet? Not the replacement bulbs but the actual strings that you can anamate. Is the light as bright and brilliant as the C-6 strings? Should I use these on my roof other than the C-6's
What are blackout caps? Where do you get them and what size LEDS do they fit over? --Greg--They are just small, black sleeves that slide over minilights so the light doesn't show.
