I want a 3D Santa that is around 6ft tall.  I am thinking about having him climbing a ladder.  He will need to be waterproof.  I am also thinking about having lights turn off and on over him.  The lights need to show up really well or the effect I am looking for will be lost.

He will be on ladder first.  He needs to be seen.  Then others lights over him.

I know I am being vague, but I want it to be a surprise.

Anyone can help me out?

I just need ideas.

I need a Santa and an Elf. Something Animatronic....... I plan on building my own. Not a whole lot of movement is needed. Common Neck and mouth movements , maybe an arm/hand or two. Id like to find an old skeleton or something to start with. I guess I can start from scratch, I have a ton of servos and will buy a few DCx16 boards from DLight to control it all

Wow! That sounds neat!

I just want something stationary that I can place on a ladder and light up in someway.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Someone mentioned having a Santa on a ladder and shining a spot on him.  As the Lights go over him the spot dims so the new lights show well.

Please help...

General Foam Plastics makes a 5 foot blowmold Santa.  It's definately waterproof.  Obviously he will light up with the included internal bulb.  You should be able to run lights over him.

Thanks, that is cool.  I loved the pictures with the kids.  I wonder if I can make something.  I want a 5-6' santa about 3/4 of the way up on a real ladder.  It will be an extension ladder leaning on the side of a house.

The lights will be coming off the roof down onto Santa.  I need the lights that go over him to show up really well.

Ted,

I am trying to use something more life like, but your suggestion is really good.  I am saving your idea if I can't come up with what I am trying to create.

I have a blow up one with lights in it. Made kinda like a Beach ball but heavy duty. I use him in my slay on the roof. I got him in a mom and pop, five and dime store. I have not seen one like him for years glad he is lasting. AI
