I have two small oak tree's in my front yard and I took everything down in a hurry except the two tree's. I just figured I would do it slowley. Kind of embarrasing to be taking down lights in Feb when the neighbors drive by.
I wrapped all the branches and now I am having second thoughts about doing that way next year. What a pain.

I'm about 85% done. Normally it takes me about a weekend but the weather has been horrible and I ran out of storage space because my display doubled in size this year. Also, I only can work on it over the weekends.
I havnt even started. We still have 2 feet of snow on the ground. I can just see the tips of my mini trees and all the extension cords are buried. Maybe next month.
if weather is stopping you then its no big deal...around here it was great weather to take down...only had to put off going on my roof for a week...someone down the block from me had their inflatables deflated laying all over the place till a few days ago...theres NO excuse for that other than being lazy
look at my roof to understand WHY i had to put off for a week LOL

I still had a couple inflatables up until last week. They were frozen to the ground!! The weather has been horrible here. Freezing rain, snow, freezing rain again, then below zero temperatures, etc....
But there's if the weather is good they should be down. They're going to get ruined.

Everything here is packed up and has been for ages, Valentine decorations came down Friday morning and packed away. Now my neighbor is another story. He decorates quite large and hasnt taken a thing down yet. Lots of nice blowmolds to! This is 2 yrs now he has left them up past Valentines, Hmmm maybe he will start to downsize soon and I will be able to get his molds!
Yeah people around me here in NC where it has been warm off and on have left inflatables out in their yard on into march before and the same people have them out in their yards currently. Definately lazyness. I would be happy to pack them and take them with me for them but dont know if that would happen. I really cant understand why they never get them down till mid year

Read in the paper the other day that we have had over 86 inches of snow so far this season. Needless to say, I still have a bunch of stuff buried and frozen in till spring and Lights on one side of the house as it isn't safe to put up the ladder.

Ditto. Tried to pull a couple things out of the ground when it was 40 the other day. LOL...Yeah right....frozen solid still. Looks like March/April for taking lights down.

Guilty here... I got 40 ft palm trees still strung with icicle lights. Too tall to take down without getting a lift again... I am hoping when the leaves get rejected with age I can retrieve the lights. I could reach the plugs and unplug everything so its just a waiting game waiting for the leaves to get old and drop (they all will before next Autumn).
