O.K. so today i started may layout measuring in my yard for locations i wanted for my display and found that I really didnt have room for a marty fan. i had previously sketched one out taken from brian mitchells website and also had sketched out north poles and leaping arches taken from toymakr's website. after realizind that I didnt have enough romm i thought what if i combined the two. a leaping arch fence with a fan twist. 16 channels x3 for 3 fans ang 24 channels for the leaping arches. that way i can have both combined as one . just curious what you guys think of the idea inputs are appreciated. thanks in advance
awhile back i was going to do this exact idea with my arches but i decided id go with a grass grid instead. i cant wait to see how they turn out! and make sure you plan with a strong enough material because thats alot of weight.

It's a great idea, and in fact it has already been done. I saw it on one of the videos submitted for this year's Holiday Lights (which will come out this week).
I just can't recall which of the 47 displays I saw it in.
Perhaps the submitter will catch this thread and post his/her how-to..
Sounds like a good idea... I actually was thinking of the same thing in the middle of December when everyting was set up. The 18" leader cords were dropping down from each of the strings on my arches. This was making a fan to the ground. I deciced I'd get a better effect with something else because the arches are so short. So I didn't take the idea any further. I think if the fan was taller than the arches, with small rods holding the lights up, but not hiding the other display items, that would work great. Maybe even a double set of arches the higher one just used to support the fan lights.
Great idea ! run with it!
