This is getting to be fun.  There are two TV producers desperately seeking displays to feature on their upcoming shows.  Now's your chance to get that 15 minutes of nationwide fame!

One production company does Monster House/Monster Garage on the Discovery channel.  She posted a message in our chatroom a few days ago and didn't get the response she was hoping.  Goto http://www.planetchristmas.com/ and see what they are looking for.  Send me an email at csmith@planetchristmas.com if you're interested.

Another production company doing "Great American Christmas" has already been in touch with a few of you but now they're looking for some friendly decorating competition in towns across the USA.  If you know of something or are a participant, again, send me an email at csmith@planetchristmas.com.

Let's not let television down!

Chuck,

Is the "Great American Christmas" and the USA Network production one in the same?

Yes it is, and a very lady by the name of Kristina is working on it.  Poor thingis stressing because time is very short very her and the production.  I am going to get pics, and video to her in the next couple days.  Hopefully louisville will show up on the show.

I don't have much more than 10,00 lights. but I don't know of many in Southern NJ that does what we do.

I Am hoping to have my "big show" start this Saturday. Already my neighbors have been bugging me when the Light Show will start.....

Emailed in the Richmond Tacky Light Tour - dozens of houses in the Richmond area with a minimum requirement of 30,000 lights to make the list. Maybe.... maybe.... though I wouldn't recomend my own, it's over an hour out of the way, still, it'd be awesome to see the Tacky Light Tour get some exposure outside of the NC/VA area.

Same here.  Though I probably won't do anything this year since I"m not quite organized enough with things this year.  Next year, though...

Is that a challenge?:smilingelf:

If you want help with your LOR, I'll be more than willing to try and help some.  Not sure exactly how much I would be, but I can try to be as much help as possible.  If we're going to compete, you need to have your stuff ready and a-rarin' to go!

and Brad, we can't say too much...you and I were probaly 10 ft from each other last week and didn't think to meet...ha ha...

we need to have us a late spring/early summer mini...we seem to be gaining members...

My LOR is still sitting here in the box...I wired one up ...but I'm still scared to plug it in...I'm going to play with it after I get the yard finished...try out one of those shared sequences to get an idea of what it would look like....

You all mind of a kentuckian comes to your mini plus???  We don't really have too many people around here, but we are growing.  We are planning on taking a trip to Charleston next summer anyway.

Looking at May or June.  My wife has friends in North Charleston that she has not seen for years.  My wifes family was stationed there for years when her dad was in the airforce.

That would work I believe as of now.  I never made it to Charleston this year and went like 3 times last year.

Does this mean we're definitely doing a mini next year?

We'll let a Kentuckian in.  Bring a few friends as well.

I'm down in Charleston just about every other week, and have been for the past 2 years.

I guess it's time to start planning what we'll do at our mini now?:waycool:

I just got back from visiting my daughter in Mt. Pleasant.  She graduated with a nursing degree and thought she would move to the Charleston area.  She visited there last summer and thought it was a nice area.  She works at the MUSC hospital in Charleston.

Brad, came back up I-26 to spend the night in Asheville, NC and didn't even know I passed right by your place.  Didn't get to enjoy the scenery in SC on I-26 though.  We were travelling after dark.

We will be back in SC in June for vacation at Hilton Head.
