I'm a new member and starting slow.

today I learned that less is more. I got a Mr Christmas to do some animation and plugged one mega tree and five different bushes into it, the flashing looked random and out of sync with the music. So today I purchased five 3' trees at Rite Aid (6.69 ea.great buy) and made 1 clear 2 green & 2 red. then put them in the yard, all in one line and each on a different channel. the result was slightly better but still confused and random until I plugged the like colors into the same channel and BINGO now it looks like a show!!! and I'm only useing 3 channels.

Small victory's make us newbies very happy.

Jim

Ah, the joy of discovery.  Congratulations Jim.

NOW imagine yourself this time next year having programmed multiple songs (maybe at 7-10 hours per minute of song... depending on how OCD you are)... with multiple controllers (your choice on that one... us LOR fans certainly know who we are a fan of... lol)... multiple mini trees, north poles, mega tree(s)... home-made extension cords... all plugged in and ready to go.

THEN on your "opening day" you invite a whole bunch of friends, family, and neighbors over to what THEY think is gonna be just you flipping a switch and them saying Oooooo and Ahhhhhh and then they go home.  ONLY to find out they get to see 30 min (+/- of course) of totally synchronized lights/music...  AND when they get to Rudolph (or some other standard) they all start singing together in unison...

THAT is when you tear up and KNOW all your obsession with this addiction, er hobby is completely worth it!
