The Newbie Mentor Program, is designed to help out any one (1st year) who is beginning and would like to know someone near them who could answer questions/assist with display set-up , or just be friends.

If you sign up you would get someone who lives in your state, and is willing to answer any questions you have and give advice.

To sign up, PM your Name, E-mail, City, and State to me, and I will pair you up with someone in your own state.

Once you have a match you will recieve his/her's e-mail, and you can go from there.

Thanks

Nick Diaz

I did this some time ago. Has anyone else tried to contact Nick with any luck?

Nick,

Instead of trying to find matches, why not just email everyone in that state?  John doe is a newbie in any town Connecticut.  The go on to say what this person is into.  Animated (AL or LOR) static, blow molds etc.  That way the newbies needs are fine tuned.

If you pair me with someone who uses LOR, I can't be of much help (use AL).  Make sense?

Scott

Problem is if you only contact people in the same state, you might miss someone whose just over the state line that might be closer.

It could be done by ZIP code with a fair decree of accuracy.  Somewhere I have computer code and the database for one of those "Dealer locator" type web pages.
Works great as long as both sites are in the USA and Lake Michigan is not in the way (it keeps telling me Milwaukee is a shorter drive than Detroit)

I am located in Port St Lucie Florida (east coast about 45 minutes north of West Palm Beach) and this will be my first year in animation.  Would really appreciate any help and assistance.  Will be getting LOR during the spring sale.

Feel free to contact me directly and I will share my ideas to see what we can come up with.

Thanks,

Shawn

I'm not there, but I'm up in that area all the time.  I did sign up to be a mentor, too.  If you're interested, send me a PM, and we can try to work something out sometime where we can talk/get together.

Go to a site like http://www.sendspace.com you can upload large files there free.
Then just post the link it gives here (note: it'll expire after a week or so tho)
