Hey ChuckD,

I do a little of all of those you have mention... One of my favorites is to turn them on 50% and then chase over top of the 50% with 100%.

Also to everyone, thanks for the great replies... it really makes Christmas a little more merrier:)

Thanks,

John Booker

John Booker wrote: Hi everyone,

Since we have Mega Trees, why not have Mega Arches.... My display has a 40 ft arch that jumps over my mega tree. I have 5 leaping arches total - each one uses 7 channels to control them. The smaller arches are 20 feet long with 700 lights and the Mega arch is 40 feet with 1400 lights.

Very nice job with the arches John!

I have a couple of questions on your large arch, if you don't mind.

Are you using 2 inch PVC for the large arch? If so, is it schedule 80?

Do you have any additional supports for it, besides securing it at the bases?

Nice sequencing of all your arches..

Greg

The large arch is schedule 40  and is 1 1/4 inch pvc 20 feet long, 2 sections of 20 feet make-up the 40 feet. The arch uses two 5/8 inch rebar 5 feet long oneach end of the arch for support and it is supported at the peak with the pole I used for the mega tree.

Last night, I went to John's display, then drove over to Ron Lister's.

John, your leaping arches and mega tree are stunning!  You and your wife did a fantastic job building them and setting them up.  I so enjoyed talking to you and having you show me around.  Your display is wonderful.  It is great to see it in person.

If anyone is near downtown Orlando, make a side trip to john's house.

It was great meeting your wonderful family.

Michael B

John

Your arches are GREAT!
What is the distance across the base of the smaller 20 foot arches?
I'm doing some layout planning for 2008 and want to include some arches.

Thanks!

John,

I loved your video it was great and your version of Frosty is really neat.

I've spent the day searching the internet looking for it but could not find it. I even searched the burl ives web site but no luck. Could you please give a little more information on the song maybe an album name or something. I would appreicate it very much I've got that song hung in my head and I can't get rid of it. Your sequence was dead on.....Great Show

Thanks,

John Poore
