Roy - truly loved your video - and love the way you put your web page together - very very well thought out! I look forward to your how-to on your century tree.
Masterfully done! Very classy and neat. I like your mix of several different tree styles, the spider arch, the use of flood lights and the snowflakes. Gave me LOTS of inspiration for my future animated display. Very nice website too!

I noticed all your boards are inside. With this many channels, alot of people put their boards outside, especially with mega trees and all. Just wondering why you decided to have all your boards inside.
I have my 8 controllers inside as well. But my yard is small and I don't have very far to run my ext cords. If I do build a mega tree I am thinking of locating the controllers for the mega tree outside at the tree, which is a common set-up as you know. I would like your thoughts on controller placement.
I love your show. This is definately one of my favorites. Everything is clean and put together very well. The programming is awsome. Thanks.

JD,
As Greg mentioned, the Disney's Believe... In Holiday Magic CD is very difficult to find. It is not in circulation and can't be purchased through regular channels anymore... except through ebay! I searched over a month before a new and original copy showed up on ebay which I eventually purchased.
Harvdog wrote: Outstandng!!! You display and sequencing is incredible. I absolutely love the washes on the house. It looks like you're using Red, Blue, Green, and White. How many total spots?
Harvdog,
Thanks! There are 16 spots (8 red and 8 green). I'm thinking about doubling that for 2008.
I really like the Tree to the right of the garage, it appears to be made of a straight leaping archs or light stick sections. How many channels does it use? I am guessing 64. How many channels do you use for the entire display?
Tim H.
Hi, Tim:
Thanks. Yes, that is my "Century" Tree because it uses just under 100 channels and has 10K lights. I hope to have another Century Tree for 2008. The entire 2007 display is over 300 channels.

Man! That "Century" tree is amazing. Would you consider post details or maybe even a how to build one?
Therberg wrote: WOW, I didn't notice your signature before with 320 channels. I only have 128 and have a hard time keeping track of everything. I can't imagine trying to program that many channels, My head hurts just thinking about it. I am planning to add several more controllers for this years display.I am courious what computer set-up you use for programming the sequences, are you using a multi monitor set-up to eliminate some of the scrolling up and down and being able to see more of the channels at once?
Tim H.
Hi, Tim:
Yes, I am using a multi monitor set-up. I have dual Dell 24" 2405FPW's. It definitely helps increase the screen real estate and to minimize scrolling as the channel count increases.
Might eventually have to move to dual Dell 30" 3008WFP's .

Jeff,
Thank you. All of my controllers are in the garage. I like having them centralized, easy to access and troubleshoot, protected from the weather, and away from potential sticky hands.
Most people, probably more than 95%, place controllers at the element they want to control to save on extension cord costs.
I believe everyone has different budget when it comes to Christmas display related items. I just happen to have a larger budget allocated to extension cords, and less, for example, to wire frames and inflatables. I plan on purchasing at least 5000 feet more of SPT2 wire from Action Lighting for 2008.
