(No more photos/clues tonight but I MIGHT answer questions if American Idol doesn't hold my interest. :P)

American Idol is second night auditions... what about that WON'T hold your interest??  Audition episodes ROCK!

I was going to say something on this order. Or maybe it will be a cross arm for a train.

Will the oscillating shaft in photo one be connected to a fixture at one end of the two PVC poles?

OK - Time for AI. (My daughter is 10 so I HAVE to watch it.)

Normally I would admit to enjoying the auditions but after 6 years of this junk it's hard to be amused by people singing poorly anymore.

Last night I only lasted 15 or 20 minutes before I had to go back to the garage to work on this thing.

By the way, you people are all out in the weeds as to what this thing is. I have no train or need for a crossing gate. But those are good ideas. ;)

OK. I need a break from American Idol (although the girl with the short, orange hair was actually pretty good) so I'll give you a little something to think about:

The wood is there for a reason but it's NOT to add strength/rigidity to the thing. I need it for something but you WON'T SEE IT in the final product.

What could the wood be for?!?

Edit: And "NO" I don't mean it's to hold the motor and the flanges. I could have done that with some simple pieces of angle iron. I'm talking about the larger sheets of plywood as illustrated in the second photo.

Chris knows 80% of what it is/does. He's still working on the other 20%.

YOU, on the other hand, do not know what it is. :P But that was a nice guess.

Uh, no.

Final clue for today: There is no more wood involved other than what is in the first photo. (The wood in the second photo is part of the thing in the first one.)

What is that wood for??? It's really obvious, if you ask me. It will be pretty obvious to everyone else when I add TWO THINGS to it tomorrow.

Sleep tight. :P

Are they enormous barrels for a snow gun to shoot snow over a larger area with pinpoint precision? Or is something going to move in and out of the pvc barrels?

At the moment they are 10' long. They will definitely be cut shorter. I do not know the final length but they will be AT LEAST 5' long.

If I told you the orientation it might make it too obvious. (Although all of that wood at the one end is peculiar.)

I don't think I'll have any more photos today. I've been busy doing other things.
