I have tried a little (not very hard though)  to find a couple of songs so I can get the CDs... I am looking for:

1. the Christmas vacation song form Everyone's favorite movie...

2. The song that a few people have synchronized, it is a female singer and talksa about the christmas house with 75 thousand twinkling lights, santa on the roof, etc...

3. any other favorites along these lines...

I am also planning to synch one or two trans-siberian songs but I really want to do some of these types of songs too.

Also where is a good place to get some of the commercials (real men of christmas, etc).

Thanks a lot.. this is going to be my first year with music so we are pretty excited...

Richard,

Thanks.  BTW I am amazed at what you were able to do with only 80 channels last year.  I got my DVD set in on Friday and have probably watched it 15 times already...

That is a great resource. By watching the DVDs you can get a good feel of what you can do and what direction you want to take your display. I watched A LOT of videos before I started on mine so I knew what works and what doesn't.

This year I get to go 192 Channels. It was 160 about a month ago but now it is at 192! The madness never stops.

You will do good with 64 channels and should be able to do a lot.

Thanks...

I have been planning to do this the last couple years.  Last year was LOR alone, this year I added 16 more channels and will add an FM Transmitter.

After watching the wonderful videos from 2006 I tried talking my wife into more channels.  Of course she said no.... BUT then she started asking if I could do 2 or 3 colors in the mega tree or some color changing mini trees... I told her that all takes a lot of channels so we'll see what happens.

At this point I am planning on moving forward with 16 channels...

#1 was never really realeased....  You could only get it on an in-park created CD at Six Flags Magic Mountain California in 1999.  I believe they only burned 20,000 of them.  If you want it on CD, eBay is the way to go but be prepared to spend nearly $50 - more as Christmas gets closer.

Unfortunately, no.  I did some searching for you, and did NOT find it anywhere on the net or in a newsgroup.

You can buy it from here:

http://www.mp3search.ru/album.aspx?id=37380

But your credit card company may not like making payments to Russia.

You can dub directly from the dvd.  Amoung the many programs out there,  you can use DVD Audio ripper which will take the soundtrack directly from the DVD and convert it to a usable MP3 or other usable format.

I have used it on a few "hard to find" songs.

I suppose that as long as you own the DVD, the RIAA could never get their hands on you.

:( I did get it there before it went down though. However, I also just bought the CD for $5 shipped, but used from the Amazon marketplace. There are still quite a few reasonably priced copies in the Amazon marketplace.

I usually try amazon first, but I also just found wherehouse.com.  They also sell them used.

I usually encode my new cds using itunes as an mp4, its better than mp3. but i know you guys need them as mp3s for animations.
