Does anybody remeber that post awhile back where somebody syncronizes their lights using modified dimmers? They put photroesisters in the dimmer switch, instead of the regular dimmer.
I believe he had some software to go with that setup, anybody remember the link?
I don't think so, actually. I haven't been on for awhile.
The guy said he modified dimmers to use photoresisters, and he had software that would lighten/darken the color of a rectangle on the screen. The dimmer would see this, and control the lights accordingly.
Background... I'm doing a sync'd show for a electric guitar player in the School Variety Show (I'm in the Sound/Lighting/Video crew).
I plan on syncing different colors of floodlights, using modified nightlights. You know, the ones with the little light sensors in them, to turn on the light when it gets dark?
Anybody know how many amps I can pull through the internal circuit? I tried it with a string of c7s for a few seconds, and no smoke or anything...
