:happytree: I am wondering if any of you experienced decorators can give me advice on how to get the most out of our 16 channel LOR this year. Yes, we are new to this. Ya see, our house it too tall to do the roof without getting earial equipment. Too expensive. We only have 1 tree by the street. We have nice rounded bushes and columns on the porch. I want to use the grass, bushes, columns, and some mini trees I made. Any other ideas for me that may help? Sorry, this is the best pic I could find for now. We have tons of lights for Halloween. You just cant see 'em during the day.

I am not sure if you tried attaching a picture, but if you did, it is not showing up.

How tall is your house? I have a 32' ladder than I do my house with. If you plan on doing this every year, it may be good to get one.

Last year, all we had was an 8 channel controller, so we did a good bit of channel sharing. For example, the front fence and the roof were on the same channel. Each one of the front trees shared with 2 out of 6 mini trees and lights on the two small evergreens. I really liked how things were mirrored throughout the display. In fact, I liked it so much that I'm continuing the trend even though we've increased the number of channels we have.

Edit: I'm not seeing the pic you posted; only the red X shows up.

Im sorry about the pic not showing up. Ill try again. We only have 16 channels this year. Im worried we wont wont have enough channels to do what I want to, but could not afford more channels right now. I thought about getting 8 more from LOR.

can i ask a question..  i am brand new to the christmas lighting scene this year.  i have ordered the LOR 16 channel start up kit,  and then i plan to build 16 ch controllers from there out.  i just want to get rolling.  my question :  how does the program work as far as when it starts and how long it runs?  it must use the PC's clock but can you set it so that all of the lights are just on and then the show starts and then the lights all just stay on again after the show is over until a set time and then everything shuts down?

so like at 6pm the lights all just come on, then at 6:30 the show starts and runs thru how ever many i have set up and it loops thru those until 9pm and then the lights just stay on until 10pm and then everything shuts off.  thanks for any help you can give i really appreciate it

gmac/snow,

You should check out the LORWiki.

What is a Show?
What is a Schedule?

Also, be sure to read about the Control Panel.
