Just looking for what not to miss on my trip to Australia in Feb. Spending a week in Sydney, few days in Port Douglas, and 5 days in Tasmania. Doing the bridge climb.
There is lots to see and do around Sydney. There is a great zoo, Opera House etc etc - if you like that stuff. Or there are good pubs and restaurants just to chill at.
Take a trip to the Blue Mountains for a bushwalk and ride the steepest incline railway in the world. Visit the beautiful beaches along our coastline, head north to world class wineries, take the kids south to our home grown waterpark.
Or just relax, sit back and enjoy the view on a daytripper bus & ferry pass.
Ride the ferrys, including the JetCat! Enjoy your Bridge Climb! Go down to the Rocks and have a Tooeys Old while the Rugby or Cricket game is on (especially if they're gonna spank those 'bloody Pommys'). Go shopping at the Queen Victoria building.
In Port Douglass, take Quicksilver out to the reef platform, THEN the next day take a small private snorkling tour. Advantages to both. Check out the Croc farm just outside of town.
I never made it to Tazzy. You will have such a great time!
