Hi Mick

This will be the first year with mini trees.  I am thinking of using the top 2ft of 9 artificial 5ft trees I got on sale fom Tesco a few years back for £1 each.

If they do not look right I will try and get someone to weld me some frames as I have not seen anything like tomato cages or easels here.

Linda

Hi Linda I bought some quarter steele rod in B&Q the other day with the same thing in mind as yourself to weld them up .Idon't know of anything else maybe some wire fencing ,type they sell in garden centres.Use one of the cones you see on the roadworks ,shape the wire around it and cut it ,tie it together with wire .Might be the job ,a easier then welding .

Any other suggestions ?

Buy the way my inflatable sitting santa arrived today and am I GETTING SOME STICK ,the family think I HAVE LOST THE PLOT:waycool: ,buying Christmas stuff in March ,everybody else is thinking about  spending money on their gardens etc :laughing:

regards Mick

I dont know if the fencing wire would be strong enough to hold the lights.

If you have something welded like a tripod then cover it with chicken wire it would be easier to attach the lights.

Of course you have lost it, just like the rest of us. I did warn you

Linda

I like your idea. It gives you something to hook the lights onto a lot easier.

If you've got any problems feel free to PM me. (I did rob the idea from here somewhere, but can't remember who though).

Hi,

I use small tomato cages turned upside down.

We just got back from Ireland.  Did a 10 day tour.  You have a very beautiful country.

Dennis
