Empire made this Santa Face up until at least 1998 and they all have the same year date from the 1960's molded into them. That is the year that the mold was designed and first introduced. It does not refer to when it was made. We have Empire/Carolina Plastics catalogs showing it up into the late 90's. You might want to revise the description in your auction as it is very misleading to potential buyers.
This was their reply.
Thanks for your input, but even if I knew the above to be true, I see nothing wrong with the way its worded, I believe this one is older and from the 60s, its not a guarantee and certainly not meant to mislead anyone.

Son Of Svengouligh (sp) on channel 44 way back in the day....

Seriously, why is it only Chicago-area people are posting 'molds at these ridiculous prices? Is it the water?
It could be the Lack of fresh air, as nobody can open their windows because of this cold.

Even if she "knew" it to be true? Just how much documentation does she need!? If someone truly doesn't want to mislead anyone then why not play it on the safe side and change the description? This gives me some serious doubts about the seller...

LOL maybe I should try that. I'll buy a generic (currently produced) snowman or pumpkin mold, and say it "looks just like the vintage ones from the 1960's so it must be old..."
