It is a positive thing to warn people about the potential for problems with a vendor regardless of whether that vendor is a P.C. member or not.

By golly, I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one on PC that has the good fortune of being able to buy from Daffodils. I have two blow molds coming from him now.

I agree...there is a huge difference between slandering a fellow member without just cause and pointing out issues with the evidence to back your claims up.
We have to warn our fellow members of problems these days and help protect them....especially the newer members who have not been around for past events.
You never know how far people will take things anymore....the internet provides a sheild of privacy and we don't always know these people as well as we may think...

I think the "test" of what makes a post negative is whether it contains personal insults. For example if I say, "I paid Joe for a widget but never received it and he has not given me an explanation" my statement does not contain any personal insults. But if I say, "Stupid Joe never sent me the widget I paid for. He is a moron so don't buy from him." then obviously that does contain insults and is out of line.
This reminds me of another way that I evaluate eBay sellers. I look at the feedback they left for buyers. If I see personally insulting information (which happens a lot) then I don't buy from them because they are displaying unprofessional and childish behavior.
and "Joe" should have the guts and decency to number one to not do that to you to start with and number two if he did do it to come out in the thread and explain his side and not complain and get the thread shut down.
Thank you for contacting eBay in regards to your concern with
d*ffo*ils cancelling, and then relisting items, in order to obtain an
acceptable final bid amount, and you'd like eBay to take the appropriate
actions to prevent this from happening to future eBayers.
First of all Thomas, I apologize for the delay in responding to your
email and for any inconvenience this wait has caused you.
Secondly, I have thoroughly investigated your concern with the pertinent
information you provided about this seller's practices, and completely
empathize with your frustration in this matter.
Furthermore, after reviewing your report, I see that appropriate action
has already been taken in regard to this issue. Such action may include
issuing a warning, temporary suspension, indefinite suspension or
terminating the membership.
Due to eBay's Privacy policy I am unable to provide you information
regarding the details of another user's account. As I am equally
concerned about all violations on eBay, I will still investigate every
report I receive. In addition, the details of my actions cannot be
disclosed with you. Please remember that this is for the protection of
you, me, and everyone on the eBay site.
If you have any more questions that haven't been answered, please feel
free to write back.
Thomas, I understand your frustration regarding this matter and
apologize for any inconvenience it might have caused you.
Sincerely,
Le**ox

Just in case anyone got the wrong idea I made up the name "Joe" and was not referring to anyone in particular.
