Next year I am going to be animating my flying Santa I use plastic window wireframes now. However next year I want to make one that is animated so the legs on the raindeer legs move and Santa waves as he flies high overhead. I was thinking of using 1/4 brake line tubing or maybe aluminum. I don't think I can use a hardware cloth or coro because the wind will catch it too easily. You can see santa flying here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMP4PUr-nNY.

Does anyone have any ideas on a good light weight design/material?

Hello Gary,

I just finished an Angel made out of 8 Gauge wire, I think it's used to hold chain link fence up. Anyway a roll of 100ft or so was only $8 from lowes. It seemed faily easy to work with but took some getting used  to when welding it.

Just thought I would toss that out for you to consider.

Ted

How about 1/4 inch plastic pipe. The type used for gas service or irrigation.

It comes in a coil and is flexible but not sure how well it will hold sharp bends? You may have to heat it to keep shapes?

Then again maybe not?  I have some but haven't done anything with it as of yet.

The Lowe's near me carries it.
