Several months ago was a posting for making large candy canes from plastic pipe.

I tried to do a search but the search engine only goes back to March of this year, when the forum had the big crash.

Did anyone save a link to the posting?

The giant candy cane post should be saved in a special fourm with certain other post so it never get's buried or forgotten.

It is one of the best postings on PC to date.

It's a shame that posting like that may not get seen by new members until it gets bumped.

How about a "Best Reading for Beginners" or "What you should Learn before Starting" Section.

We can vote on ideas submitted to this forum and include them in this section or Chuck can form a committee.

I have read many good ideas and since then have seen many new posts asking the same questions again.

This is what I have so far for a FAQ. I thought maybe Chuck would want to lock this at the top of the forums, especially the newbies. This is something also I think all people should be aware of: Posts should include proper sentence structure out of consideration for our many members who do not speak English as their native language. That means using capitalization, reasonable punctuation and no excessive abbreviations. Posts should be structured as if you were writing a letter to someone instead of sending a text message. The goal is not to have perfectly written messages, rather to encourage a writing style accessible to all members, including those who don't speak English well, or who have to use translation services. I realize a spell checker would not catch a wrong word, but we should keep our Non-English speaking members in mind if we have any. Questions 15-25 I really don’t have answers for. If somebody wants to email me if you know these, please do. Also, if you can think of other questions that seemed to get asked a lot, let me know.

1.First link to go to: http://www.planetchristmas.com/ and look at the left hand side, next, click on the “How Do I” link on the home page.

2.How to search the forums (Try this first) Type something in the box and Click “Search”. You might have to try some different terms. Don’t give up on the first try. All the links I have were found by using the “Search” function

3.How to shrink a picture you use in your avatar or to upload

Either use Irfanview  Or you could get Windows Photo Resizer.  It is available for free download on Microsoft.com

4.How to add the "LOR" or "AL" or whatever as your signature
http://planetchristmas.mywowbb.com/forum54/4677.html
ell, The Thread on getting the images into your signature was getting long and maybe a little vauge. So I thought I would post this to straighten it all up.
Step 1:
Click (see links below) To go to the Image listing page.
Step 2:
Open Notepad, Word, or other text document just so you can copy paste the code.
Step 3:
Find the image for what hardware you are using and select the code in the box below it and copy paste it into your text program.
Step 4:
Find the number of channels you and repeate the same process as above
Step 5:
Click "My Account" at the top of the Chat Room, Then go to "Profile"
Step 6:
Go down to signature and paste the full line from your text editor into the box. For the correct look it should look something like.

Step 7:
Save Your Settings and you are done.
Thanks to Zac for creating all these great files

Chris in Ct,

Thanks for the compliment!  Since we don't or can't ?? use stickies here, I have included the link to the making of large candy canes in my signature.  Now, if I can find reason to post more often, folks may have an easier time finding it.
