aren't those just flat, not 3 dimensional? rather easy if they are and could be built with a little framework and chickenwire to tie the lights onto. I was going to do that with this years addition of my 30' megatree but I am running out of time so I'm putting it off til next year.
Though my mega tree is 3d when I add the horizontal bands like your speaking of I will only go 2d for simplicity. The effect will be the same either way because whatever happens on one side of the tree also happens on the opposite side so you gain nothing by making it 3 dimensional except from a side view.

But they are mondo expensive! Would love to build them myself, but having trouble finding tree frames...Any suggestions?
Not want to do a mega tree type with verticle lights, like the look of the 4 part horizontal lights...
Thanks!
I got the 6' and 8' full round tree frame only from AL and added my own lights. That saved some money. The tree frame is in 4 sections that stack one on top of the other. It is built very well.
If you were to get the frames from them and add your own regular (not LED) it would be quite a bit cheaper. The trees on AL's web site come with LED's on them
