Many of you may have saw my post about bad controllers and commercial v/s residential service, in service in customer service.
I am here to give my sincere apologies!!
Leigh at AL did a amazing job getting me another controller. I called her on Wed the 21st and I received a controller that I bought then on Fri the 23rd (I don't think I need to point out that the 22nd was Thanks Giving)
Any way that was some extreme awesome service.
On the controller that I have to send back to them because of a firmware upload that got disrupted. The day before I had trouble with this controller I changed where it was getting it's power to a different GFI. It was several hours later that evening that I was trying to do some testing and there was a problem with the controller. Heart beat was irregular, wouldn't test with the test button, wouldn't reset with the reset button, couldn't locate properly, com light would stay on. I could locate the controller, but if any commands were sent to the controller it would loose it. I ended up trying to upload firm ware when I did get a locate and connection was lost during the upload and now cant locate at all, has to be sent back to AL.
Sometime in the middle of Thurs night I woke up and had a thought of 'I wonder if that GFI is hooked up right?' Then didn't think anything else about it until.....
I got the new controller Fri and hooked everything up and wouldn't you know it same thing, com light staying on, cant test or reset. I immediately unplugged the controller and plugged it in where the another controller was hooked up. Worked fine!
I pulled the GFI and wouldn't you know it...the hot and the com were reversed. I corrected the problem and now the controller works fine off of it.
Sorry this is so long, just had to post my mistake and make a retraction and apologies on PC to AL
