Many of you may have saw my post about bad controllers and commercial v/s residential service, in service in customer service.

I am here to give my sincere apologies!!

Leigh at AL did a amazing job getting me another controller. I called her on Wed the 21st and I received a controller that I bought then on Fri the 23rd (I don't think I need to point out that the 22nd was Thanks Giving)

Any way that was some extreme awesome service.

On the controller that I have to send back to them because of a firmware upload that got disrupted. The day before I had trouble with this controller I changed where it was getting it's power to a different GFI. It was several hours later that evening that I was trying to do some testing and there was a problem with the controller. Heart beat was irregular, wouldn't test with the test button, wouldn't reset with the reset button, couldn't locate properly, com light would stay on. I could locate the controller, but if any commands were sent to the controller it would loose it. I ended up trying to upload firm ware when I did get a locate and connection was lost during the upload and now cant locate at all, has to be sent back to AL.

Sometime in the middle of Thurs night I woke up and had a thought of 'I wonder if that GFI is hooked up right?' Then didn't think anything else about it until.....

I got the new controller Fri and hooked everything up and wouldn't you know it same thing, com light staying on, cant test or reset. I immediately unplugged the controller and plugged it in where the another controller was hooked up. Worked fine!:shock::shock:

I pulled the GFI and wouldn't you know it...the hot and the com were reversed. I corrected the problem and now the controller works fine off of it.

Sorry this is so long, just had to post my mistake and make a retraction and apologies on PC to AL:)

AL Rocks:cool:

I knew they would fix you up. Ive had networking issues this year and have been very impressed with their support.  AL does rock!

Glad to hear they took care of your controller issues.  I luckily havent had any of those issues, but now I better go double check to make sure!   I think my rant got me blackballed with them as Paul didnt seem to happy with me after someone told him of the post.  I had more one item ordered that I havent gotten or a response on and I still need to get my money back for those LEDs that never showed....

Paul watches these forums and I'm sure doesn't take things to kindly when people run off at the fingertips rather than calling tech support or customer service nor would I if I was an owner of a company being bashed. It always pays to ask questions here but not come right out and throw negative comments unless your ready to drop the company as the product your using. Hope everything works out, just be careful when throwing bad publicity around. You never know who's watching.

Roger
