Ken Maxwell was the first one to come up with a "How to" on the arches last season. That is where I first saw them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WN4OYTRLYjA

I have two videos that show my arches

Also I have a "behind the scenes" video of my display that talk about the arches at

There were done by Todd Schick - http://www.toddschick.com

He does professional voice over work and I have had him work on a few projects last year for work. His rates are $325 for up to 5 minutes and $30 a minute after that.

He did those voice overs for me free though since I was already having him do some other work and since I was raising money for Make-A-Wish.

Here is a video of the voice over with my lights.

Speaking of voice-overs - could you have him NOT say "Holdman" in next year's version? I can't use your voice-over sequence in my display if he does! :P

BTW - I, too, would like to thank you for posting these. While seeing a video of someone's lights gives you good ideas, seeing the programming behind it really helps a lot more.

Richard:

Thank you so much.  Everything I've learned about sequencing has been from studying your sequences.  I really, REALLY appreciate you sharing what you've learned and done these past two years.

There are about 40 strobes. I just have the c9 clips attached to the mini lights. You can see a close up of it on my video at

9 Channels per Arch, 200 Lights in each channel. Using 100ct Walmart strands that are about 24' each.

I did not get a chance to video that one. :(

The work track is a temporary holding track. Many times I will put multiple fades up there with different timings as a place to just keep them on the screen while I am adjusting other parts. Some times I may tap out a certain part and use that track also to know where cue points are.

Richard, it is extremely gracious of you to share all your hard work with everyone.  You are an excellent representative of what the holiday season is all about!  I hope your display is a hit in 2008 at it's new location!  Thanks much!!!

In your behind the scenes video you show your controler boxes out on the lawn.  How are you attaching them to the metal stakes?  Zip ties??

The stakes have a small hole in them every 1". These are the ones from Home Depot. What I did was use a machine screw that goes through the LOR enclosure from the inside and then through the small hole in the stake.

MY LOR PC arrived , I assembled the wires and everything  in the instructions and it works  like a charm. It is awesome. Now that I am totally impressed with the system, I have done a schematic of my  Property, I have inventoried my lights, done a plan of what I have and want to do,  Now that I got  figured out, I have  realized I am short on LOR Channels,    I  even think 32 channels isnt enough,
 hahahaha
I think I will be needing at least 2 more  Units:-P
LIGHT-O-RAMA,   I will be ordering  probly in the summer sale
, I am sure I will have no less then 48 channels come Nov 1st
