I'm mostly a lurker at PC and see many of the same questions being asked all the time. That's probably just the nature of the beast when it comes to hobbies like this - people don't always like to search - but more than that, there seems to be so many different ways to do what we do...hardware, software, design philosophies, building methods and materials... so a simple question can have a ton of different answers.
So maybe that's why the same questions get re-hashed.
I put together a wiki at http://www.deweycooter.com/wiki - what I hope to accomplish is to provide a living resource for newbies and veterans to find anything they want related to displays. What does that flashing LED on my controller mean? How do you sequence your songs? What is D-Light and how is it different from LOR?
All this information exists somewhere - here on PC, at vendor forums, personal websites - but since there's so much info to digest, why not put together an overview, a list of best practices, etc?
Check it out if you have a few minutes. Better yet, write a new article, make edits and updates to existing ones.
I've hosted the LOR Wiki (LORWiki.com) for well over 18 months now, possibly two years. While there is a lot of good information on it, the last time someone (other than myself) made updates to it was July 23rd. This despite being listed on the LOR Support Forums, and in some documentation that is sent out with new controllers.
Like Lego, I wish others would use it more as well. There are only so many hours in the day, and I don't have time to update it. After the holidays I'll probably go back and try to update it with LOR2 information, since the current trends show no one will have done it by then!
