Hello everyone, my new site is now online. Since we are moving, the name "A Williamsburg Christmas" will not fit the new Florida show very nicely, so I have a new name and a new site...

http://christmasadventure.net

This has got to be one of my best sites, most everything was coded by me, so I know their will be a few bugs and such, but over all I am very pleased on how it turned out.

Known bugs...

1. The pictures are not up yet
2. Technical page is blank
3. TOS link on bottom is not pointing to anything
4. Some mis-spellings

One of my favorite features is the content on the home, 2007, and 2008 pages. That is a blog system built by me (with a database) to display content on a website like it is now. I can add, delete posts and delete comments (which are disabled now), also that is ONE copy of the script running those 3 pages!

Links, if your link is already on the site and you don't know why, those were on the old site and like promised, they will stick with all future updates of this site. How to get your link on it? Email me! Sorry, but I just wont copy 100's of links from a post here on PC, some could be dead and some could have content I don't want my site pointing to.

Link criteria....

1. Must be your display
2. No commercial links
3. No sites with excessive ads

Hope you like ChristmasAdventure.net!

--Daniel L

P.S.- If you already have my link on your site "christmas.everythingdaniel.com", now would be a good time to update that to "ChristmasAdventure.net" - Title "The Christmas Adventure".

Daniel -- I see you've applied for the webring (thanks, didn't realize it was your site when I looked at it).  The code is there, but the code-checker isn't recognizing it, so you're in the 'pending' status yet...  You may want to run the diagnostic utility Webring has for seeing why it doesn't like it.  Let me know if I can help...

Congrats on your move!

Well, we haven't moved yet, the house still needs to be sold. But my Dad is already working down there, in Tallahassee.

Tim, I did have some trouble with the Webring, I think the site is in their twice. Once I replaced/updated christmas.everythingdaniel.com with the new url, but then somehow I think I added it by itself again leaving two copies....

EDIT: I think I got it now, I deleted one of the doubles, and one of the id #s was wrong, it says its active/pass now.

Cool, you're in!

I've got about 8 other sites that nominated themselves in the past 2 weeks, and I've approved, but still not code...  Not sure why people join the ring but not add the code, I try to make it very clear on the join page that it will get you nowhere... (sorry to vent to you -- you actually did it right ;) )

Its ok, it is a little hard to understand, part of my problem was that I had the code for the real "outside" webring at first. Would it be possible to come up with a step-by-step guide for new users and users (like myself) that have been members, but have forgot how to add a site. Its not hard, but a little confusing...

I agree, the process isn't terribly clear, but it's kind of out of my control as it's the way WebRing does it.  I think there's a guide out there somewhere (there's a WebRing wiki) that I could adopt into a Christmas-specific one... if only there were time...

As I can ask, what is worse, South Alabama or Florida?

Hmmm... Powerpoint for a picture? I ain't that desperate! :} And yes I do believe it is chiller, fits the theme nicely...

BTW, if you don't have Photoshop (which I don't), a nice alternative is  Paint.net from...

http://www.getpaint.net/

I have heard  that it is comparable to Photoshop. (which again, I know nothing about!)
