Bill and Tom,
Good to hear from you both, I'll be there for sure. I'll bring some of my sequences of 500+ channels. For 2008 I have a fountain made of 5 10 foot leapers, the spray on top has 8 more channels and the crown 3 more channels. So far it looks very good in animation. I don't think I can have it built by the show but we will see.

I would like to see if LOR can controll SSR's, I have a big big big job for 2009.

Greg, thanks for sending the PMs. I've noticed a lot of newbies coming out of the wood-work. And that is GREAT!!!
If you have nothing to bring or nothing to share, that's perfectly fine. As long as you walk away learning something or just having a great time. That's what minis are all about.
It hasn't been mentioned (I don't think), but we strongly encourage spouses/friends participation (unless it's a secret to them about your 2008 display ). One thing I've learned is spouses/friends of PC members are just as friendly and have a great time as well. I know my wife Carol won't sit around talking about lights/sequences and such but she likes to visit with other spouses about non-lights/sequences stuff. You know, the ordinary things in life .
Anyway, I see this mini growing and having a lotto see/show and share.

Wow, a fountain sounds cool.
Got a web site? I'd love to see what you did last year. Wish I could have seen it in person, but didn't really get into PC until just a few weeks back.

jshelby, That's great!!! (and good to hear from you again too)
I would like to see the fountain/spray/crown myself. A great time to see it in it's early stages maybe? Just maybe?
I would like to thank Gregg and Maggie in advance for opening their home to us for this event. It takes a lot of courage to bring a group of people like us into your neighborhood.
Just from the early post, this looks to be a very versatile group of people coming togather. Lots to see, do and enjoy. Looking forward to seeing each and everyone of you.
Anyone intrested in DMX? I can bring my DMX-1000 and see if we can make it dance. Maybe by then I will have something that is supported by DMX that we can work with. If not someone can show me how it works!
I will plan on making it as well and would love to see the mega tree. Top priority for 2008 display. To all the people around Tulsa, what do you think about a website that gives our addresses and web url's for people to find the displays and websites? Maybe there is one already available and I just don't know about it. I would like to see everyone's website if they have one. A website is on my 2008 projects list as well.

Could be an interesting idea. There seems to be strong feelings going both ways about advertizing the displays. Some people want everyone in the world to know about it, others want it to spread by word of mouth...
I just put together a web site, although the content isn't quite ready to go. Since my time is limited, and I'd rather spend more time working on other stuff, I decided to setup WordPress on one of my sub domains, which makes it much easier for me to add content, make posts, and keep others up to date.
I don't have this in my signature yet, because it's very early, but it gives one person's idea... I plan to host videos on Vimeo, since it allows HD video to be uploaded.

Rick,
I would be very interested in the DMX-1000. I'm sure other people would be also. I'm glad you plan to attend.

cotrill,
As I posted earlier, I plan to put up my mega tree. There will be several other people that have mega trees also that can provide advice/guidance. Let us know if there is anything else you are interested in seeing.

Jason,
That would be a good idea. I know I've taken pics of past minis but never take enough. It would be great for your own use, but for a "post mini" pic posting (say that quick 3 times). We will want to see pics posted here (censored of course) after it's all said and done.
Another newbie here so I wont have anything to bring. Last year I had a Lights and Sounds of Christmas and a couple of days after my display went live, a neighbor 2 houses down bought one. No more. I am going LOR this year. Not sure how many channels yet. It depends on how cheap they are in the sales and how cheap I can get lights for this year. With every song I am working on I make versions for 2, 3, 4, and 5 controllers. So far I have been adapting Richard Holdman's sequences for training. (Looks much less awesome without the big house and much less objects in a smaller yard). Tomorrow I start trying to do one on my own. I may not be staying too long as my daughter is already tired of hearing about Christmas and listening to Christmas songs over and over. I am thinking about leaping arches and a 10 foot megatree (finances permitting). I already have my tomato cages cut and zip tied waiting on lights!
Sounds like you're on to a great start (adapting Richards sequences).
Yup, you don't need to bring a thing.
You stay as long as you like and if there are any interests in subjects like arches and mega trees, speak up so we can take advantage of the time you do plan to attend and hope to help in your 2008 display.
