It is getting close. I am very excited because other than Shane, Bill, Larry, and Jim Ihave not met any other PCers. So this should be a great experience.

Are brazing goggles, like the ones HD sells for $10 adequate for observing?  They're "#5", does that describe how dark the glass is?  (HD also has a welding helmet for $23, which might also be useful for Halloween...)

No on the brazing goggles ..  it is not worth the risking your eyes ..

I didn't see the one at HD for $23.00 ... I only saw the $50 item.

Here's their link:

"out of stock online... check local store"

edit: I see the difference now: #5 shade on the brazing goggles, #10 on the welders mask

Is there an agenda for the mini?
Is there anything certain people need to bring? (I'm volunteering here)
Will we have a swap meet of any kind?
Will the neighbors be on vacation?
Are we building the mega-tree in the front yard?

Wow it's gettin close!!

Larry

20 days, 20 days. Again! 20days, 20 days.

Or 3 weeks from yesterday.

For those experienced in coro, I am presenting about it, I think. So please be gentle with your criticism.

yes i would like to have a swap meet....there is an agenda that im planning with whose gonna talk and about what. The mini is at my neighborhood clubhouse. Ill be sending emails with directions and everything everyone needs to know. The mini starts at 1pm and i would suggest eating before coming as were not gonna eat till 4:30pm but i will have snacks out during demos. If you wanna come dressed festive.....your welcome too.

Believe it or not my problem neighbor is out of town. She was gone since Jan and came home for a few days recently and left again. I think shes caring for a sick person in new York.

If you wanna bring items to possibly swap..thats fine. I have everything else...

I found a local supplier of coroplast and was able to buy two 4 x  8 sheets of white for $10.12 each, tax included.  Colors are more. This was a sale price that I believe is good thru the end of the month.  If the sale ends before then the regular price is only 13.37 plus tax.  If someone coming to the mini would like to get some I can pick it up and bring it with me.  I can fit a 4 x 8 sheet in the back of my van although cutting it smaller is more convenient such as 4 x 4 or anything less than 8ft..  I just looked in the yellow pages under sign supplies and found them in my own town and only about 1 mi from my house.  Hurray.

I am looking foward to meeting everyone and I hope to learn about LOR from some of the animated display folks.  This will be the first animated year at my house.

In regards to the swap meet, what are people thinking of swapping? I am just trying to get an idea of what folks are looking for.

We are less than two weeks away! The three in my group are making shirts, just for the occasion!          :waycool:

See You All Soon,

Justin
