Andy..I think it looks so awesome! One question thou. I have 2 of these airblows for Halloween and also 2 Christmas ones. Looking at your pictures they look like they are made with the same material as the ones I have. On the box of the ones I've got it states inside display only. Does it really matter if they are in or out? I see you are from Michigan. I'm sure it gets just as cold there as it does here in Montana. Would someone please feel me in on this. Thanks so much=)
Annette I have a few that also say indoors only, I have used them outside in all weather and have one time had a problem when it got super wet. What happened to one of mine was the transformer on the cord got wet inside and must have shorted it out. It works fine now that I have a new cord for it.
Thank you Annette and MrsD!
Thanks Peggy for answering Annettes question...
I always use my 4'ers outside.
The thing is, because it is not meant for outdoor use, if it burn down your display (or house) the company cannot be sued because they took the time to warn you that this was not intended to get wet and such...
I have never had a problem (knock on wood).
I will contine to user them outside because they work as good 'fillers'...
I use mine outdoors as well and we get a lot of rain here in the south...I have had one failure and oddly enough it was an oudoor rated 4 ft model...go figure...
Most of the new new gemmy 4ft models are rated for outdoor...the only difference is in the plug and the addition of lights...the inflatable part is the same and so is the fan...
The indoor models are nice outside for the size...I have some that I have used for 5 years with no weather problems...I don't do anything special just throw them out there...
he one problem I have is the plug gets hot and it attracts fire ants...so I have an antbed on everyone...yikes...those hurt...
it's easy to add lights to them too....
take a saftey pin and a small string of mini lights...
I use 35 count window icicle lights from dollar tree...take the end and go in through the zipper opening...find the top of the inflatable...get the seam...pin the female end of the lights(not the plug) to the seam....run the plug out the zipper and you are in business....
