I have not been on PC in many months, and now the time is closing in. I need to find a pre-assembled FM transmitter. Any where besides ebay??? Just something along the lines of the FM 25b.

I got my Ramsey 30b at http://www.Hobbytron.com. It works great and I have had no trouble with it at all. You might have a look there.

Here's a thread on the Whole House FM Transmitter...

http://planetchristmas.mywowbb.com/forum57/17051.html

I just received mine yesterday.  Got it up and broadcasting in less that 2 minutes.  Literally!  Broadcasts about 2 - 3 houses down the street.  No hissing, humming or other background noise.  If you're looking to save money... it's a bargain.  $89 and Tom has offers a "coupon code" you can enter to get free shipping on it   (The code is somewhere in the thread).

I'm a newbie to FM broadcasting... but it seems to do a GREAT job.

The ramsey's on eBay come highly recommended.

The FM30 gets my price/performance vote these days.  I personally own an FM25B and it's very nice as well.

Depending on how far of a distance you have to reach... I have an FM25B with an external double whip antennas. I can reach all the way down my street. I have heard the Whole House Transmitter is very good as well, jbryant did a review on it, and its all positive.

Good luck with your search!

Here is where I got my FM30b assembled and tested for $239. They also sell the FM25b tested and assembled for $179. They offer many other radios as well. http://www.cpcares.com/RamseyElectronicsInc/Synthesized-FM-Stereo-Transmitter.html

That's a good price on the 30b. I paid $252.19 for mine plus $8.88 for shipping . Total $261.07. This was also asembled and tested.
