I too would prefer merry Christmas BUT for some reason i have always thought of the phrase "Seasons Greetings" to be very Christmasy.

I think becaue when i was younger i always remember seeing it drawn up very ornately with holly leaves and snow.

In other words, no matter what you say: merry christmas, happy holidays, Seasons greetings....It all means Christmas to me.
