So, I need some sort of "evil" monster for Mickey to "fight" in his dream. If you follow the Disney show which originated in the early 90s, the grande finale is usually a dragon. Really, I just need something big and "scary" to inflate. I thought an inflatable might have a better impact than video -- even though the inflatable is static.
So it was just an idea. I don't have the whole thing planned out in my head yet, and I think the LOR DMX solution I'm looking at may be too expensive to accomplish in one year.
Anyways, so I was really surprised I couldn't find an inflatable dragon. Can you think of anything else that would make a good inflatable for a "scary/evil" dream sequence Mickey Mouse has? Taller is better.
Thanks for any tips!
Oh man if and when you do this Disney thing please share pictures and/or video. I love Mickey Mouse! Your idea sounds awesome=)

This is the guy I have. And I DO have a smoke machine for it. However, I am not sure how to modify to get smoke out the nose. I know it's just a matter of piping it, but that means I have to cut up fabric, doesn't it? I've never used an airblown before, so it's a scary proposition. Anyone have some tips or know any good sites about modifying airblowns that I might get some ideas from? I just don't like the idea of putting holes in an airblown when I have no clue what I'm doing...
I'm also curious...has anyone ever filled the inside of their airblowns with smoke/fog? I'm sure it would leak out seams...might create an interesting effect.

I think you would only need to cut a small hole in it's mouth.
I did some experimentation with fog and vacuums last year, using a air pump. It s***ed the fog in, and spit it out through about 10-15' of 1" tubing.
Get some 1", or maybe 1.5" tubing, run it up into the inflatable through the zipper hole on the bottom, and out the mouth.

I was afraid prices would be like that, which is why I went with the gargoyle. While a custom inflatable like that would be perfect (I wish my gargoyle was a wee bit taller), it would be more expensive than all my hardware combined!
I do hear (from a different source) creative inflatables does fantastic work, and their photos do look amazing. For anyone who has the bucks to spend, their work is high quality.
