Hello, my daughter has given me a new Chrisha Creations snowglobe, as she has moved and now has no room for it. She never used it, and has lost the box and any instructions.

Anyway, I set it up in the living room and the "snow" won't go up the tubes provided for it, except while the globe is still inflating, or if I open an access zipper on the back of the globe.

Also I am wondering what to do with the two alligator clips that come out the bottom of it?

Thanks for any advice!

Later. . . . . . . Brad

Try to unzip the zipper then take your hand and loosen the snow and see if that works.

It maybe because the airblown is new and the snow is stuck.

I have noticed that even a slight mount of dampness will prevent a snow globe from snowing.  Set it up in a temperature controlled space (like a garage), and let it run for 24 hours or so.

Allowing the fan to run dries out the snow.  If dampness was the problem, it will start snowing on its own.

Everybody knows it can't snow inside....It's not cold enough!

It's probably humidity or even just plain wetness holding the snow together.

The clips aren't attached to pieces of line which is attached to legs are they?

If so, they are to hold the support legs in place. There will be some holes in the other legs for the clips to attach to.

The alligator clips attach to the tie down stakes, it helps to prevent static electricity from building up.  Which causes the snow to stick together.

The tube carrying the snow to the top got twisted last year when I set up my globe. Had to reach inside and untwist it and all was fine.

Thanks for all the tips!

I believe that scott isaacs is correct about the alligator clips being used to drain off static because the wires are connected to some metal pieces in the plastic tubes that are supposed to pick up the snow.

The snow seems dry to me, and it is blowing around in the bottom of the snowglobe, but it won't get s***ed up into the tubes. I'll look at the tubes better to make sure that they aren't kinked.

I've been letting it run in the living room for the past few hours, but still no snow. It did manage to twist off the thin line that holds the penguins up though! You'd think that with a swivel at the top and bottom of the line, that couldn't happen.

Here's a picture of one of the alligator clips:

If the snow is just blowing around in the globe you may have holes in the seams inside the bottom of your globe.  We have an 8' globe that worked fine for a year.... after last season, when we set it up to dry it out, we found 3 holes in seams inside the bottome of the globe.  My daughter took a piece of thread and a needle and sewed them up.  After that, the globe began working correctly.

It worked for me....
