As I type this, it's been just over six months since we wrapped up PLUS2007. I'll admit to taking this long to fully decompress from such a great event.
It's time to start thinking about PLUS2009.
For starters... what's a PLUS? The PlanetChristmas Lights Up Symposium is a gathering where many of us come together for three days of education classes, meet our vendors and just enjoy the time being with like-minded individuals.
Forecasting modest growth from PLUS2007, I'm anticipating 500 attendees for PLUS2009.
Putting on a PLUS event requires an enormous amount of planing. To help produce the show, I assemble a small group of enthusiasts willing to invest the considerable time and effort required to benefit our entire community. There are monthly conference calls to coordinate our actions and a list of never-ending chores that must be done including coordinating all the teachers, vendors, performers, servers, etc. I'll admit this is a really tough job but the rewards of seeing everyone have a great time at a PLUS is well worth all the work.
