The solid state relays work out well for the Mr. Christmas, it droped the amps on the outlets, this display was for my mother, who is really enjoying her display this year. With the cost being low for the Mr. Christmas this display is perfect for her.

I don't understand? Did you modify the MR Christmas some how? or are you just saying you like the MR Christmas??? PLEASE EXPLAIN IN DETAIL. WITH PICTURES IF YOU MODDED IT.

Just a guess.. He ran outputs for Mr. Christmas to SSR's. The SSR's can be wired so they can handle much power per channel than Mr. Christmas. So he was using the setup to put more decorations per channel.

Well I would guess that any good 110 volt relay would work? Are they capable of opening and closing as fast as the controler flashes?
I love the idea myself... Would solve the 12 amp max load problem, lol. I just have no idea where to acquire the proper relay switches and some instruction on how to put them in a box so they are waterproof (or at least resistant). If the cost isn't too much I'd love to do something like this for next year! I guess I just need to probe around town and see who sells such things.
